You have arrived here from the Listening Leader Practice app. This page is your companion — it explains how the practice works, what to expect, and how to protect your work.

What You Are Holding

The Listening Leader Practice is a structured way of working through complex decisions before execution begins.

It is not a form to complete in one sitting. It is a practice — eight stages across three phases — designed to move you from situation to commitment with clarity, coherence, and accountability intact.

Some stages may take minutes. Others may take days or weeks.

You are not expected to move quickly. You are expected to move with clarity.

Your First Session

Open the app and create a new initiative. Name it after the real situation you are working through.
Enter Stage 1. Read the stage guide before filling in any fields. — the guide is visible at the top of each stage.
Work through Part 1 only. When you reach the end of Part 1, pause.
Return when you are ready to continue.

That is enough for your first session.

LLP is not about speed. It is about the quality of thinking you bring to each part before moving forward.

How to Approach LLP

Work with one real initiative at a time.

Move through the stages in sequence. Do not skip ahead, even if later stages feel familiar.

You do not need to complete all eight stages in one session. A typical rhythm might look like completing one part, then pausing — returning after reflection or discussion — progressing when the previous stage feels clear.

If something feels unclear, remain in that stage. LLP is designed to hold you there until clarity forms.

What the App Is (and Is Not)

The LLP app is a working environment, not a productivity tool.

It helps you structure thinking, track decisions, make assumptions visible, and carry clarity forward between stages.

It does not make decisions for you, generate final answers, or replace your judgment.

You remain responsible for every decision recorded.

Working Across Stages

Each stage has structured parts, a reflection section, a stage decision, and a decision summary.

Before moving forward: complete the stage, reflect on what remains unresolved, confirm your stage decision, and write or generate your decision summary.

The decision summary carries your thinking into the next stage. Do not skip it.

Using Relational Intelligence (RI)

You will see Engage with Relational Intelligence buttons throughout the app. These are optional.

They are designed to expand perspective, test assumptions, and help you articulate thinking more clearly.

They are not designed to decide for you, replace your reasoning, or provide authoritative answers.

When using RI: treat responses as input, not instruction. Return to your own judgment before proceeding. Integrate only what holds under your own scrutiny.

The Draft with Relational Intelligence function helps structure your decision summary. You remain responsible for reviewing and finalising it.

Data and Privacy

The LLP app is self-contained.

Your data is stored locally in your browser. There is no backend storage or external database. Nothing is transmitted or retained by the system.

This means: If your browser cache is cleared, your data will be lost. The app does not retain a backup.

To protect your work:

Use the Export function in the sidebar to save your work as a JSON file. Store this file in your own systems — a local drive, secure storage, or organisational tools. To continue work on another device or after clearing your cache, use the Import function in the Initiatives list and upload your previously exported JSON file.

You are fully responsible for your data management and storage.

When to Pause

LLP is designed to slow decision-making where necessary.

Pause when the mandate is unclear, ownership is uncertain, assumptions feel unstable, the problem is not yet well-framed, or pressure is pushing you to move faster than clarity allows.

Pausing is part of the practice.

When to Continue

Move forward when the current stage is clear enough to stand on, decisions are explicitly recorded, unresolved items are acknowledged, and you can explain your reasoning without contradiction.

You do not need perfect certainty. You need sufficient clarity.

If You Feel Overloaded

This is normal at the beginning.

LLP makes thinking visible. What is usually compressed or implicit becomes explicit.

Focus on one part at a time. Ignore later stages until you reach them. Return after breaks rather than pushing through.

Clarity builds through progression, not force.

A Final Note

LLP does not remove complexity. It helps you move through complexity without losing clarity, sequence, or responsibility.

Take your time. The quality of what you build here depends entirely on the care you bring to each stage.
